My paintings celebrate the ordinary and the commonplace; an abandoned house, the detritus of nature and the elements of everyday life. They create an appreciation of texture and a delight in color. They are memories made visible.

Sometimes I am not ready to hear things. And when I do, it's like a slam upside the head. The issue of values and their balance within a painting or perhaps other artistic mediums is an example. At a recent Carol Marine workshop, I did the value study below.
Funny......white is not always "white".
