Artist Statement

My paintings celebrate the ordinary and the commonplace; an abandoned house, the detritus of nature and the elements of everyday life. They create an appreciation of texture and a delight in color. They are memories made visible.

My husband, Warren, was a wonderful woodworker. He had many fine tools. After he passed away, I thought about painting various aspects of his workshop and I did. Here is the collection of screw drivers. If I borrowed one, I always had to put it back in the right place. I still do and I miss him very much.
