Artist Statement

My paintings celebrate the ordinary and the commonplace; an abandoned house, the detritus of nature and the elements of everyday life. They create an appreciation of texture and a delight in color. They are memories made visible.

It is important to know where your tools are. I like the orderliness of this arrangement. Is a conversation going on here? A bit of gossip while waiting to picked up?

Maybe they are saying "screw you" or "he's such a tool" or "did you hear what that wrench did yesterday?". Or maybe they're just hanging together and having fun. Nice job.
